Accessibility at Red Star Standard
We want everyone to be able to use this site, whatever their device, ability or situation.
Our commitment
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. If something falls short, we want to hear about it and fix it.
What you can do on this site
- Skip straight to the content. Press Tab once on any page to reveal a “Skip to content” link.
- Use only a keyboard. The menus, search, dialogs, tabs and FAQs all work without a mouse. Press / to open search and Esc to close menus and dialogs. A clear outline shows where you are.
- Use a screen reader. Pages have landmarks and a logical heading order, buttons and fields have names, and search results, form errors and links that open a new tab are announced.
- Use a phone. Pages reflow to fit screens from 320 px wide, and buttons and links are at least 44 px tall on touch screens. You can also zoom in without losing content.
- Change how it looks. The accessibility settings (top bar, mobile menu and footer) let you enlarge text, turn on higher contrast, underline links, add more space between lines and letters, and pause animations. Your choices are saved on your device only.
- Keep your system preferences. The site respects “reduce motion” and Windows high-contrast (forced colours) settings.
- Pause moving content. The scrolling client logos and tool lists have a pause button, and the animated background stops when you ask for reduced motion.
- Fill in forms with confidence. Every field has a visible label, errors are written in plain language and read out, and what you typed on the booking form is kept if you leave by mistake.
Known limitations
- This site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit. We test with automated tools (axe-core), with a keyboard, and at phone, tablet and desktop sizes. Automated checks cannot catch everything, which is why we ask for your feedback.
- The WhatsApp assistant on the live demo page is a scripted visual example, not a real chat.
- Some things are provided by other companies and we cannot change them: payment pages (M-Pesa, Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe), WhatsApp, and any booking calendar embedded on the booking page.
- Client logos and screenshots are images described by the client’s name rather than in detail.
Tell us about a barrier

How we tested
We checked the main page types with axe-core (WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules), tried the menus, search and dialogs with the keyboard alone, and reviewed layouts at widths from 280 px to 1440 px in Microsoft Edge (Chromium). We have not yet tested with every browser and screen reader, and we will add to this list as we do.
